Job Summary:

The Paramedic, under the supervision of the EMS Supervisor, Manager and the Director, is responsible for the out of hospital care of patients requiring care as the result of illness/injury and is responsible for the direction of patient care at the Advanced Life Support level.

Responsibilities:

Deliver care based on patient needs appropriate for the neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrate a patient centered approach to total out of hospital care. Demonstrate cooperation, flexibility and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians and other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

Post High School Degree Program or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Post High School Degree Program. Relevant Experience. Certification and Licensure. BLS Certification. Current Paramedic or PHRN Certification in Pennsylvania with Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator. ACLS Certification & PALS Certification. National Incident Management System (NIMS) 700, 800, 100 & 200 training obtained within 60 days of hire date. Current Valid Driver's License. Hazmat Awareness or higher Training obtained within 60 days of hire date. Must be able to obtain and maintain medical command authorization.
