Job Description

The Senior Automation Systems Specialist will play a key role in designing and bench-testing integrated automation solutions for our customers. This position requires a strong analytical ability and mechanical engineering aptitude, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure that customers are informed of product capability and limits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering product questions and describing product capabilities, purpose, and potential for applications
  • Providing technical support through incoming calls, documenting customer problems, and developing solutions through the design of better, more effective product application
  • Researching technical information needed to evaluate product performance and application, and designing portions of factory automation systems
  • Documenting all technical projects, including customer's pre-existing equipment/process, operating difficulties, proposals, design schematics, and installation details
  • Coodinating and scheduling Branch technical training for customers and sales personnel
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent occupational experience
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in factory automation with proven success and experience with hands-on product demonstrations
  • Solid analytical ability and mechanical engineering aptitude
