Job Description

Fisher Island Club is seeking a motivated and organized Guest Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Maintenance: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of guest units, public areas, and operation areas to ensure they meet our high standards.
  2. Inspections and Training: Conduct daily inspections of work performed by housekeeping staff and implement training procedures to enhance their skills.
  3. Data Compilation: Compile data to inform scheduling of special projects such as carpet shampooing and drapery cleaning.
  4. Policies and Objectives: Assist in developing policies, standards, and objectives to provide effective housekeeping services.
  5. Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure timely completion of necessary maintenance and repairs.
  6. Inventories and Supplies: Assist in completing inventories and maintaining adequate supplies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of housekeeping supervisory experience preferred.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
  • Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with basic housekeeping practices, ability to work under pressure, make decisions, and exercise common sense.

Working Conditions:

  • Business Office: Work in a business office environment.
  • Laundry Facilities: Access to laundry equipment and facilities.
  • Guest Accommodations: Work in guest accommodations and public areas.
