Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide on-site technical support, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, ensuring optimal system functionality. This role involves frequent travel to client sites, resolving complex system issues, and collaborating with engineering teams for excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair systems and equipment related to civil engineering projects.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify malfunctions and determine solutions.
  • Provide preventative maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and managers to deliver quality technical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed service reports for each job completed, including work done, problems identified, and recommendations.
  • Train and assist clients on system use and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with company products and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and standards on-site.
  • Provide emergency repair services, including after-hours support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle with necessary tools and parts.
  • Assist with logistics related to service visits, ensuring timely arrival and proper documentation.
  • Build strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in engineering or a related field are preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in the civil engineering or construction sector.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.
