Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) to join our team at Delta-T Group Illinois, Inc.

Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate ideas, direction, and treatment plans to the treatment team and patients using written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
  • Obtain information from patients and others, and use appropriate tools to make assessments, prepare summaries, and make recommendations regarding treatment.
  • Maintain knowledge of the pharmacological effects of drugs and alcohol on patient health, and use ASAM patient placement criteria for appropriate placement and continuing care.
  • Develop service and continuing care plans, prioritize problems, and plan appropriate methods of addressing problems.
  • Incorporate appropriate use of community-based support groups.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and significant others, and use communication skills to engage them in treatment.
  • Identify obstacles to counseling and minimize their impact.
  • Plan, structure, and organize different types of group therapy sessions.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
  • Supervise patients during free and unstructured time, identify and use treatment tools to monitor and support the structure within the program.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED, and 30 credit hours of college education or accredited training program in substance abuse counseling and/or other human services area.
  • IAODAPCA certification CADC (CRADC/MISA I preferred), LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC.
