Atrium Health Kannapolis, part of Atrium Health Cabarrus, offers an exciting opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

This role performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a radiologist, coordinating daily activities including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures by operating equipment based on procedure demands and ensuring accurate anatomic positioning.
  • Documents patient history related to specific procedures, verifying patient identity through verbal confirmation and proof of identification.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required, collaborating with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate will require strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers, handling equipment and supplies. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with patients and hospital staff.

The position also requires the ability to use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision when manipulating radiographic equipment, with vision and hearing necessary for distances up to 10 feet.

Requirements:

A successful completion of a formal Radiology Tech Program in an AMA-approved facility, ARRT registration, and Basic Life Support certification from AHA are mandatory. If a new graduate, registry eligibility with registry completion within one year of hire date is necessary.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
