Sterilization Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterilization Specialist to join our healthcare team in NYC. This crucial position involves ensuring the highest standards of sterile processing and instrument preparation for surgical procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization tasks for surgical instruments.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times during sterile processing.
• Organize and maintain clean and efficient storage areas for surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to guarantee timely availability and accuracy of sterilized instruments.
• Maintain meticulous records related to sterilization processes and equipment usage.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum one year of experience in sterile processing is essential; two years is preferred.
• Certification: Must hold Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
• Education Level: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Schedule:

• Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• Availability: Weekends and holidays as required
