Job Summary

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan, a leading healthcare provider in downtown San Antonio, seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join its esteemed team. As a critical member of our telemetry unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by performing various delegated basic patient care services.

Your Role
You will work closely with our skilled nursing team to provide individualized, comprehensive care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • • Providing direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN
    • Assisting with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed
    • Performing lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency
    • Documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
    • Serving as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
    • Graduate Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN) degree
    • Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
