Job Summary

Auburn Memorial Medical Services, PC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently room patients in a timely fashion to enhance the efficiency of the provider's schedule.
  • Assist patients in dressing and undressing as needed.
  • Compile nurses notes, obtain accurate vital signs, verify current medications, and accurately document results in the computer.
  • Assist physicians in examination of patients and performance of procedures and tests.
  • Manage nursing triage calls, obtain information from patients, confer with physicians, and relay responses in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process patient prescription requests, verify medication, dose, route of administration, frequency, appointment compliance, and physician approval prior to processing.
  • Perform phlebotomy, glucose testing, urine processing, occult and culture specimen collection.
  • Comply with all practice vaccine management and administration policies, maintain currency on vaccine guidelines, and understand the importance of proper storage, handling, and administration of vaccines.
  • Scan and route outside records from previous physicians, emergency/hospital visits, consults/labs, immunization records, etc.
  • Educate patients about medical conditions, immunization schedules, daily care, medication, etc.
  • Document all billable nursing services on the electronic super bill at the end of each visit.
  • Maintain sanitary and orderly conditions in clinical areas, clean up exam rooms immediately after each visit, and set up and stock rooms as needed.
  • Assist with ordering medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed.
  • Wrap instruments for sterilization, change sterilization solution, and ensure proper calibration and functionality of sterilization equipment.
  • Maintain a log of lab specimens processed on-site or sent to outside labs for testing and perform regularly scheduled controls.
  • Demonstrate efficient and productive use of work time, arrive for work as scheduled, and focus on job duties.
  • Demonstrate team effort, look for ways to help with reviews, rooming, scanning, etc.
  • Participate in educational and administrative staff training regarding infection control procedures, HIPAA, and other determined by administration.
  • Perform other duties as dictated by the needs of the practice and physicians.
Requirements
  • RN or LPN license preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records.
