Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team at DC Builders. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of one-of-a-kind, heavy timber structures, including custom homes, event venues, wineries, and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of field carpenters and subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and IBC building codes.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, including material lead times and purchase orders.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Lead Carpenter or in a management role.
  • Timber frame experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and IBC building codes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
