Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HCM Account Executive to join our team in a remote office in Cincinnati, OH. As a key member of our Sales & Marketing team, you will be responsible for prospecting and developing emerging market business sales relationships with potential clients and closing new and expanded sales agreements.

This is a fast-paced and competitive environment that targets small businesses. The ideal candidate will be a hunter, capable of creating their own activity in the field and constantly looking for that next sale. A strong consultative approach to sales technique, exceptional prospecting skills, persistence, and a passion for what is being sold are essential qualities for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Generate net-new business opportunities by leveraging Paylocity's expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospective clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, providing follow-up throughout the sales process.
  • Organize and complete documentation required for clients to move to the Paylocity system.
  • Work directly with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
  • Develop prospects through telemarketing, referrals, professional and personal contacts, and other sources.
  • Maintain relationships within the Broker channel and other referral sources.
  • Maintain contact with existing customers to determine needs for additional services.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote Paylocity services.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas for the territory.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a sales position.
  • Ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to maintain high activity standards.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills to handle objections and unexpected situations.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and the Internet.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for a variable commission plan, annual bonus, and restricted stock until grant based on individual performance, as well as a full range of benefits outlined here.
