Project Manager

Thyssenkrupp Materials, NA is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to spearhead the opening of our new New Mexico location. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth of a leading materials provider with a diverse portfolio of industries, including industrial, aerospace, medical, oil and gas, power distribution, defense, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects, from initial planning to final implementation.
- Investigate and document customer returns, preparing and scheduling assigned engineering projects.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Interact daily with stakeholders to interpret their needs and requirements, representing them in the field.
- Perform overall quality control of the work, reporting regularly on project status.
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective action as needed.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate project progress and address any issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering or management, preferably in manufacturing or construction.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with plant commissioning and startup processes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
