Job Summary

The Staff Development Trainer will be responsible for conducting all activities in support of the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. This includes coordinating all orientation for hospital employees, students, volunteers, and contractors, as well as providing instruction and training coordination in a comprehensive, hospital-wide, multi-disciplinary education program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs to support the hospital's mission and vision
  • Coordinate all orientation for hospital employees, students, volunteers, and contractors
  • Provide instruction and training coordination in a comprehensive, hospital-wide, multi-disciplinary education program
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify critical education needs and design creative, cost-effective programs to meet those needs
  • Utilize current educational technology to provide education activities within the facilities
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Considerable experience in development and training, instructional design, or related fields, such as education, social services, or human resources
  • Must be able to meet all requirements for Instructor certifications in BLS for Healthcare Professionals, First Aid, and Therapeutic Options
  • Knowledge of multiple Learning Management Systems, SCORM authoring tools, and computer-based training software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable experience in curriculum and instruction, social services, healthcare administration, or closely related field AND mental health experience in a hospital setting OR work experience in staff development and training, instructional design, or related fields, such as education, social services, human resources
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
