High-Caliber Business Intelligence Engineer Needed

We are seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence Engineer to drive analytics with high exposure to VP and SVP level business decision making support.

In this role, you will define scalable processes and dive deep into product and program metrics globally across multiple business units.

You will apply both business and technical acumen in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and innovative environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Write expert-level SQL that extracts actionable insights from some of the world's largest datasets.
  2. Dive deep to help drive key business decisions through data insights and improve a wide range of internal products.
  3. Own the design and development of automated solutions for recurrent reporting and in-depth analyses, including learning, publishing, and managing operational business metrics decks.
  4. Drive continuous improvement of analytical processes by automating, scaling, and simplifying self-service support for customers.
  5. Invent new ways to explore data and work with Product Managers to identify opportunities and transform business problems into defined data and reporting requirements.
  6. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of SQL experience.
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with AWS technologies.
  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining.
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.
