About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Regional Freight Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL Class A license and have prior experience in commercial driving. They will also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate trucks to transport goods to customers, adhering to scheduled delivery times
  • Unload products from trailers using equipment such as two-wheelers or pallet jacks, and place them in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures upon completion
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the overall client experience
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift)
