Job Summary

The Development Director is responsible for driving the organization's fundraising efforts and ensuring the financial sustainability of Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI). This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, lead a team of development professionals, and build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals
  • Lead the development and execution of major fundraising events, including the annual SEI Gala
  • Oversee the gift planning program and stewardship of planned giving donors
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and manage the annual budget and business plan for the Development Department
  • Supervise and mentor development staff members to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Labor & Industrial Relations, Finance, or related field
  • Progressive experience in development, fundraising, and leadership roles
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising and revenue generation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors, stakeholders, and team members
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Work Environment

This position requires in-person interaction, meetings, and coaching. The successful candidate will be based in the Portland Metro Area and will be required to adhere to work location safety and building protocols.
