Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Century Park Associates. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

About the Role

As an LPN Resident Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assisted living services to our residents. Your primary focus will be on maximizing their individual capabilities while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with the Resident Care Director and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support.

Responsibilities

* Oversees medication programs, including accuracy of medication assistance records (MARs) and providing hands-on medication assistance to residents
* Performs treatments according to physician orders
* Conducts vital sign checks, such as blood pressure, pulse, and blood sugar
* Charts relevant information about residents' health and wellness
* Updates physicians on changes in residents' conditions and takes new orders as needed
* Assists residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Orders and reorders medications for residents from assigned pharmacies as needed
* Responds promptly to call lights and other requests from residents
* Provides report to staff for next shift and assists with supervisory responsibilities
* Participates in training, supervision, and counseling of the resident care team

Requirements

* Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from an accredited program
* Maintain an active LPN license in good standing throughout employment
* One year of experience in senior services preferred
* CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; must remain current during employment
* First aid certification (if required by State)
* Expert knowledge in field of practice
* Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
* Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in an assisted living community
* Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the nursing department
* Proficient in all applicable competency areas
* Maintains professional working relationships with associates, vendors, etc.
* Confidentiality of proprietary and/or confidential information
* Understanding of company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
