Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to fill the role of CT Technologist in Springdale, Arkansas.
About the Role:This 13-week travel assignment offers an exciting opportunity to work as a CT Technologist in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of diagnostic imaging procedures, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Preparation and Communication:
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.
- Operation of CT Equipment:
- Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.
- Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures.
- Image Quality and Review:
- Review CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards.
- Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis.
- Patient Safety and Comfort:
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, including using the lowest possible dose for effective imaging and utilizing shielding where appropriate.
- Maintain a sterile, safe, and clean environment in the CT room, ensuring all equipment is sanitized between patients.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)).
- Experience working with CT scanners and other diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This travel assignment offers a competitive salary package, including:
- An estimated annual salary of $83,000 - $110,000 based on 40 hours per week and 10-hour shifts.
- A tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
