We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Land Acquisition Intern to join our team at Meritage Homes. This includes conducting market research, financial analysis, buyer segmentation, and product pairing. You will also learn the broader business strategy, participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders, and present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. If you are a self-starter with a passion for real estate and a desire to learn and grow, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the land acquisition process, including searching for land, identifying land, underwriting the land, and the closing processes.
  • Conduct market research, financial analysis, buyer segmentation, and product pairing.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders.
  • Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college.
  • Strong understanding of business principles.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a team environment on cross-functional projects.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity or role and influencing peers.
