Physical Therapist Float Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in South Chicagoland. As a Float Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
About the Role
In this role, you will interpret physician referrals, conduct thorough evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans. You will work closely with patients to set functional goals and implement evidence-based interventions. Your expertise will enable you to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide status updates to physicians and colleagues.
You will also be responsible for completing required documentation, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to departmental policies and accreditation standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions and optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. You should hold a current Physical Therapy License in Illinois or Wisconsin and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Intermediate computer skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities are essential.
You will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with diverse patients and teams. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles, assess patient needs, and interpret data reflective of each patient's status. You will also need to maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications and adhere to all safety and infection control measures.
The ideal candidate will have intermediate computer skills, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. They will be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday. The physical demands of this role include lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling with 30 lbs of force, and performing sliding transfers with a second person present.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
