We are seeking a dynamic Hotel Receptionist to join our team at the Hotel Canandaigua in Canandaigua, NY. This position will be responsible for welcoming and assisting guests with their stay.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service to our guests. As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests upon arrival and departure, handling check-ins, check-outs, and resolving any issues that may arise during their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register guests, issuing room keys and providing directions as needed.
  • Manage guest requests, including sorting mail and faxes, and answering inquiries about hotel services and local amenities.
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts, ensuring seamless communication with colleagues and management.
  • Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and make change as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, adhering to hotel standards and policies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
