Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area, recognized for its innovative cardiovascular program. We are seeking a knowledgeable and caring Registered Technologist to expand our team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist to join our dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. This role involves collaboration with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, requires relevant certification, and includes responsibilities such as preceptor duties for new staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
  • Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
  • Maintain a sterile environment.
  • Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participate in orientation of new staff.
  • Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
  • Maintain strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
  • Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program
