Overview

Schedule:

  • Week One: Monday - Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, Friday off
  • Week Two: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8am-4:30pm, Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, Friday, 8am-4:30pm, Sunday, 8am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

Clinical Services
  1. Initiate client-centered consultation with internal and external providers involved in care or services, obtaining necessary releases.
  2. Provide crisis call support and determine an appropriate level of care for clients as needed.
  3. Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify risk, develop risk mitigation strategies, and recommend a level of care and disposition plan.
  4. Complete diagnostic evaluations and document assessments in medical records.
  5. Collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues to develop treatment plans of care.
  6. Maintain required, timely communication and correspondence with treatment authorization and payer sources.

Record Keeping

  1. Obtain all necessary documents, information, and signatures from patients to complete assessments and coordinate care.
  2. Document risk assessments, de-escalation techniques/suicide prevention, and mental status evaluations.
  3. Promptly and accurately document patient information, major crises or treatment issues, and expected outcomes based on medical recordkeeping standards.

Service to Internal and External Customers

  1. Respond to queries about services that can be provided to best meet patient needs.
  2. Locate and schedule routine and crisis appointments for patients within established timeframes.
  3. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal staff, external service providers, and state and county agencies.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related discipline. Two or more years' experience in crisis counseling/therapy situations, serving patients with Mental Health, Substance Use, and Co-Occurring disorders. Licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (Doctoral or Master's), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (Doctoral or Master's), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (Doctoral or Master's) in good standing in the State of Minnesota. BLS certification prior to starting. Three or more years' experience in crisis counseling/therapy, two or more years working within an Interdisciplinary team in mental health care.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
