Microwave Component Tester Specialist

This is a technical role at Gowanda Electronics that requires expertise in microwave component testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF and Microwave technology, with experience in testing and troubleshooting components such as bias tees, multiplexers, RF filters, and passive components.

The selected individual will work in a production environment, utilizing standard laboratory equipment to perform test functions under limited supervision. The position reports to the production lead person.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing Production and R&D Testing: Conduct thorough testing of RF and Microwave components using Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
  • Tuning High-Frequency RF Circuits: Utilize small hand tools and equipment to fine-tune high-frequency RF circuits.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Equipment: Experience with common RF laboratory equipment, including Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
  • Reading Blueprints and Schematics: Interpret blueprints, schematics, parts lists, travelers, rework instructions, and process procedures to determine the sequence of operations and proper test techniques.
  • Testing, Troubleshooting, and Reworking: Test, troubleshoot, and rework components as required.

Qualifications: This role requires 2-5 years of related experience in the microwave/amplifier/radar industry. Experience with tuning filters using Vector Network Analyzers is preferred. A technical school diploma or equivalent is also preferred but not required.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
