Job Overview

The Process Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving process excellence and innovation within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical processes, process technology, and process safety, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Process Expertise:

  • Provide expert knowledge and insights on chemical processes and process technology.
  • Support and communicate documented lessons learned related to chemical processes, equipment design, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of process scope and data.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify potential areas for process enhancement and recommend changes to improve asset performance and overall costs.
  • Conduct thorough research to stay informed about process developments and highlight lessons learned as applicable.
  • Develop, review, and recommend process improvements in accordance with project schedules and freeze dates.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Share technical insights to help achieve team objectives effectively.
  • Participate in or lead training sessions, webinars, and workshops.
  • Liaise with the Manufacturing Director to support development of operational readiness programs and training programs.

Project Oversight:

  • Define project outcomes and establish standards.
  • Ensure project outcomes align with specifications and standards.
  • Provide oversight of the process scope of work at engineering service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years in chemical process engineering or technology role.
  • Masterful knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and related technologies.
  • Proven experience as a Chemical Process SME.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
