We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at McLaren Health Care.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working in our Float Pool, with a varied schedule including nights and weekends. As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care and support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily activities and personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide physical support for patients with mobility and ambulation needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent not required, but preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Formal education or training in a medical careers program OR enrollment in nursing school OR two or more years' experience in a Patient Care Associate/Nurse Assistant role.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date.

Estimated Salary Range: $35,000-$45,000 per year, depending on experience.
