Job Description:

In this role as a Radiology Specialist, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality radiologic images to aid physicians in diagnosing medical problems.

You will prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, selecting exposure factors accurately. Additionally, you will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity, monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted.

FOLLOW RADIATION SAFETY PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES, PREVENTING PATIENT EXPOSURE TO UNNECESSARY RADIATION. Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS promptly.

Ensure equipment is functioning properly, reporting potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from ARRT
  • Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program credentialed
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree
