Job DescriptionAscent Chemicals is seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team and be an integral part of our sales force. This role will play an integral role in driving our new business development pipeline.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering client relationships, navigating complex sales processes, and winning new business with a forward-thinking chemical solutions provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in extensive outbound sales activities, including cold calls, emails, and social media outreach, to identify and capture new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects by targeting potential clients in strategic end markets.
- Focus on building and nurturing relationships with new clients through regular follow-up and personalized interactions.
- Understand client needs and tailor communications to establish Ascent Chemicals as the preferred solutions provider to meet their specific requirements.
- Prepare and conduct persuasive sales presentations to showcase the technical and functional benefits of our chemical solutions.
- Collaborate with outside sales, information research, and marketing teams to develop and execute effective sales strategies aimed at penetrating new markets, acquiring new customers, and building on our knowledgebase.
- Work closely with other departments, such as product development and customer service, to ensure that the sales process reflects the company's values and capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of proven experience in inside sales or customer service, ideally within the chemical or related industrial industries.
- Ability to quickly grasp chemical properties/applications and communicate them effectively to both non-technical and technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, objection handling, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track customer interactions and sales progress.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple sales campaigns and priorities effectively.
