Job Summary

You will serve as a Painter Leader in the Lifting and Handling Department at PSNS and IMF. This role is responsible for ensuring that work permits, system tag outs, work instructions, drawings, materials, and special tooling are available on the job site when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure that the latest work processes and procedures are followed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of work in progress and audits to ensure compliance with work procedures.
  • Determine progress and status of work, estimating completion and informing the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed, coordinating the work of co-workers and assisting trades to meet event schedules.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
