Job Summary

Cannery Hall is seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders, and serving menu items in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Take guest orders and serve food items with a sense of urgency.
  2. Maintain quality and production standards on all menu items, ensuring food is fresh and of high quality.
  3. Prepare, wash, and cut food for cooking.
  4. Ensure portion control and maintain serving temperatures of all products.
  5. Maintain overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards in food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
  6. Clean, stock, and restock workstations.
  7. Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently, ensuring all food or drink items ordered are rung in and properly accounted for.
  8. Practice proper cash handling procedures through payment collection in the POS system.
  9. Complete all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
  10. Stay up to date on upcoming shows or events to answer guest questions.
  11. Maintain guest satisfaction by answering questions thoroughly and providing information about the venue.
  12. Adhere to all relevant health department rules and regulations.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Policy Manual.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, preferred.
  • At least one to three years of related experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and physically demanding environment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and prepare food for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally.
  • Must be able to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
  • Will be required to use physical capabilities including climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Able to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Able to work in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
