Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Safety and Security Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of our patients, staff, and visitors. Your primary goal will be to create a secure environment that fosters trust and confidence in our institution.

In this role, you will serve as the first responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. This may involve de-escalating critical events, using sound judgment when engaging with combative or escalating subjects, and applying physical restraints when necessary. You will also be responsible for performing incident documentation and initial investigations, actively monitoring at-risk patients, and directing traffic when required.

To be successful in this position, you must possess excellent customer service skills, demonstrated respect and courtesy in your conduct, and be able to cope with stress and emergency situations. You should also be capable of learning and operating computerized security systems, CCTV monitoring equipment, and standard two-way radios. Additionally, public/human relations skills are essential, as you will often interact with patients, visitors, and staff. Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience.
