About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hardware Configuration Manager Lead to join our team at L3 Technologies. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the implementation and continuous improvement of advanced hardware configuration management processes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic oversight and execution of configuration management processes for complex hardware systems. You will work closely with engineering and program management teams to ensure alignment with contractual requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.

About the Job Description

This role involves:

  • Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of HWCM processes, tools, and methodologies within Agile development environments;
  • Overseeing and optimizing the use of sophisticated HWCM tools, including Agile Product Data Management (PDM), Rational ClearQuest, Windchill, JIRA, and other platforms;
  • Ensuring rigorous adherence to Contract Statements of Work (SOW) and providing strategic oversight to ensure that all documentation and configuration records meet or exceed compliance standards;
  • Directing the Configuration Change Board (CCB) process and ensuring clarity, compliance, and completeness in all change-related documentation;
  • Supervising the organization, review, and authorization of new and revised drawings and documentation;
  • Serving as a subject matter expert, offering advanced guidance and advice on HWCM methods, tools, and procedures to project teams;
  • Leading and supporting functional and physical configuration audits, ensuring thorough preparation and adherence to audit requirements.
About the Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An active Top Secret (TS) clearance;
  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience in hardware configuration management or related engineering disciplines;
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with at least 4 years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree;
  • Experience in administering version control tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Agile PDM, SolidWorks, Subversion, Teamcenter, Atlassian tools, or similar;
  • Relevant Configuration Management certifications such as CMPIC or NDIA;
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced document creation, formatting, and automation techniques in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio;
  • 8 years of relevant experience in a technical support role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and support in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
