About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Providence Newberg Medical Center. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $31.03 - $48.42 per hour, with opportunities for additional compensation based on shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

The Radiology Technologist will perform imaging examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated imaging equipment while taking into account individual patients' unique and/or age-related needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing clinical knowledge and judgment in regard to proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique, and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images.
  • Performing all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patients and operators with ALARA awareness.
  • Competently using specialized imaging equipment with all patient types, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgical suites, and performing complex fluoroscopic procedures following sterile technique protocols.
  • Performing imaging studies with portable equipment on hospitalized patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
  • Oregon Radiographer License upon hire or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
  • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
