We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and experienced diesel mechanic to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential maintenance and repairs to our fleet of medium to heavy-duty trucks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing complex issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues using computerized diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct thorough documentation of all work orders and repairs.
  • Train and guide other mechanics in best practices and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
  • Proven skills in preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of complex mechanical issues.
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
