About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual to join our team as a Youth Development Coordinator for our After School Program at Northville Elementary in Northville, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging activities following our Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, artsy creations, and homework support.
  • Create a safe and healthy environment where kids can thrive, serving as a positive role model.
  • Assist the Site Director with management functions, including attendance records, registration, and staffing.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and family members via the Brightwheel App.
  • Maintain knowledge of OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school rules.
  • Collaborate with the Director to address immediate issues and strategize program development.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; two years of experience working with children under 13, OR a School-age Child Care Credential, OR an Associate's degree in Child Development or a related field.
  • Pass a background check, including fingerprinting and references.
  • Meet medical requirements and be free of communicable diseases.
  • Possess excellent people skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
