Staff Development Coordinator RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff Development Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive staff development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Assess and address training needs of nursing staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff.
- Design and deliver training programs for new employees, including orientation and CPR training.
- Conduct annual competency assessments for licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Assist in department budget preparation and manage expenditures within budget.
- Coordinate OSHA/Risk Management programs and ensure documentation requirements are met.
- Ensure educational curriculum meets or exceeds state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- Plan and conduct state and federally required in-service programs.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BS degree preferred.
- Licensed as a RN required.
- Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
- Current with state Continuing Education (CE) Requirements.
- Three years of nursing experience, of which one year was in a long-term care environment.
- One year of experience as an instructor preferred.
