Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff Development Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive staff development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Assess and address training needs of nursing staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff.
  • Design and deliver training programs for new employees, including orientation and CPR training.
  • Conduct annual competency assessments for licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Assist in department budget preparation and manage expenditures within budget.
  • Coordinate OSHA/Risk Management programs and ensure documentation requirements are met.
  • Ensure educational curriculum meets or exceeds state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
  • Plan and conduct state and federally required in-service programs.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BS degree preferred.
  • Licensed as a RN required.
  • Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
  • Current with state Continuing Education (CE) Requirements.
  • Three years of nursing experience, of which one year was in a long-term care environment.
  • One year of experience as an instructor preferred.
