We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension Michigan.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services, operating equipment, and performing various procedures. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities- Operate mammography equipment and perform procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately, developing and evaluating films for quality
- Explain procedures and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ensure prompt submission of images and documents to PACS
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
- Radiologic Technologist specialization in Mammography (ARRT) or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification within 12 months of hire date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
