This role involves executing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs for both the interior and exterior of our community, adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various equipment.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks as assigned or requested.
  • Efficiently repair and maintain rooms that have been vacated.
  • Ensure that common areas, including walls, flooring, doors, and woodwork, are kept in excellent condition.
  • Maintain effective communication with local authorities, including fire marshals and building inspectors, ensuring compliance with local and state codes.
  • Promote teamwork among colleagues, demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, and positively influence co-workers, residents, and visitors.
  • Proactively seek out and undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for employment
  • A genuine compassion for and desire to assist seniors
  • High School Diploma or GED, with one to three years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes, and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) in healthcare settings.
  • Ability to read and understand safety regulations, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • A valid State Driver's License is required for necessary travel.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Compliance with all health requirements, including health screenings and TB clearance.
  • Successful completion of state-required fingerprinting and background checks.
  • First Aid certification is essential.
