Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical ICU team at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our 18-bed adult Medical Surgical ICU. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Critical Care setting and a strong background in Med Surg nursing.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring invasive hemodynamic and/or cardiac monitoring, intubation, and mechanical ventilation.
- Administer medications, including vasoactive medications, and manage patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in medical and nursing research studies, as needed.
- Conduct continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and other critical care interventions.
- At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Critical Care setting (ICU).
- Education - BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required and ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months).
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
- Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
- Proficient computer skills required.
