IT Infrastructure Architect

At Micross Components, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer/Network Administrator to take on a leadership role in shaping the company's technology infrastructure.

This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale IT systems, including Windows Server Operating System, VMWare & Hyper-V virtualization platforms, enterprise backup solutions, and Microsoft Exchange/Office 365.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to mentor junior team members, and work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure the smooth running of all IT systems and software.

• Lead the architecture and maintenance of the Micross hardware and software infrastructure/tech stack, including 200+ virtual servers (VMWare and Hyper-V) and Enterprise Backups.
• Mentor and support the IT team in troubleshooting server configuration, network issues, desktop/laptop end-user support, and security-related tasks.
• Develop and implement a strong security posture for the company, mitigating risks through server architecture, account settings, system backups, redundant equipment, etc.
• Work with internal and external resources to maintain a compliance program, continuously monitoring and testing cybersecurity controls and related policies.
• Assist in the management of physical security at all locations.
• Utilize project management methodology to ensure successful project completion, creating scope, timelines, budget, action item lists, and more.

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer/Network Administrator or similar role.
• US Citizenship.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server Operating System, VMWare & Hyper-V virtualization platforms, enterprise backup solutions, and Microsoft Exchange/Office 365.

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Semiconductor industries.
• Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH).
• Experience with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet preferred), Aruba/HPE or Cisco switching concepts, identity management platforms, and Hosted VOIP solutions.
