The Precision Assembler will be responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation. This person will assemble various equipment and tools, perform test requirements, and be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembly during any repair process.

This is a Weekend shift position with a 10% shift differential. The selected candidate will complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.

Demonstrating an advanced understanding of inspection equipment, their functions, and uses to ensure that all parts and assemblies are within specifications is essential. Ensuring all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all assembly procedures, is also crucial.

The successful candidate will follow all safety procedures, wear required personal safety equipment, operate various precision measuring tools, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within assembly.

A sharp eye for detail and a results-oriented approach are necessary. Calculating basic mathematical functions, including computation of rate, ratio, and percent, and converting one type of measurement into another, is also required.

The selected candidate will participate in Continuous Improvement Process activities as needed, comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures, read and interpret documents such as blueprints and technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Basic computer aptitude to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package is necessary. Showing a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship is essential.

Requirements include 1-2 years relevant experience, workshop experience, knowledge of automation control and electrical components, and experience as a mechanic for rotating machines, mechanical devices, or as a general mechanic.
