Key Responsibilities
  • Rounds in patient waiting rooms to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment
  • Performs selected administrative duties and assists clinical staff with non-clinical tasks
  • Schedules and cancels patient appointments, verifies patient insurance and demographics, and collects co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms, takes patient weights, and prepares exam rooms with needed equipment, supplies, and patient education materials
  • Adheres to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures, assists with autoclaving of instruments, and removes expired medications
  • Assists with room turnover and preparation, and electronically files and retrieves medical records
