Acute Care Orthopedic Nurse Residency Program

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Resident to join our team at Ascension Seton Medical Center. As an Acute Care Orthopedic Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Job Summary:This is an exciting opportunity to launch your nursing career as a nurse resident in our dynamic orthopedic unit. Our program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role, while also promoting a culture of safety and quality patient care.
About the Job:In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct patient care, including observation, documentation, and communication of pertinent information. You will assist with implementation and monitoring of patient care plans, while actively engaging in transition to practice programs to enhance your clinical judgment and critical thinking.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assist with patient care, including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs and communication of pertinent information to the registered nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate, monitor, and record changes in patient condition as appropriate.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, retirement benefits, and tuition reimbursement opportunities.
