Job Overview

AppleTree Staffing is seeking a Calibration/Metrology Technician to join our client's team. As a key member of the quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our equipment by managing calibration processes, performing equipment qualifications, troubleshooting, and maintaining our Preventative Maintenance (PM) program.

This critical role is essential to maintaining compliance with internal and external guidelines while supporting our quality team. If you have experience in a quality-focused role, preferably in calibration or metrology, and possess strong problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Calibration: Perform all internal equipment calibrations with precision and accuracy.
  • External Coordination: Coordinate and host external companies for on-site calibrations.
  • Off-Site Management: Manage off-site calibration processes, including shipping and tracking equipment.
  • Detailed Documentation: Execute and maintain documentation for qualification of new calibrated equipment.
  • Calibration Schedule: Develop, maintain, and follow a detailed calibration schedule.
  • Procedure Development: Draft, revise, and maintain procedures to meet calibration and usage standards.
  • Verification and Troubleshooting: Conduct monthly verifications of load cell and batching scale calibrations, and troubleshoot and repair testing equipment as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance Program: Oversee the PM Program: print and distribute monthly PM schedules, input completed PM records into the system, add new equipment to the PM system, and create corresponding logbooks.
  • Equipment Qualification: Assist maintenance in developing and executing qualifications for new equipment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage the pressurized vessel program, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Warehouse Monitoring: Monitor and document warehouse and controlled environment temperature and humidity levels.
  • Quality Support: Support the quality team by providing documentation for all areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a quality-focused role, preferably in calibration or metrology.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel and the ability to write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, a proactive attitude, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $20-$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
