Job Description

Columbia Basin College is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team. As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and working on various tasks related to student admissions, onboarding, transcripts, and registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate student admissions, onboarding, transcripts, and registration processes and procedures.
  • Process admissions applications, manage suspended records, and communicate with students regarding the status of their application.
  • Provide high-level customer service and problem-solving assistance to students, staff, and the public regarding admissions, registration, returning student reactivation, transcript requests, transfer-in processes, and other Student Records related inquiries.
  • Respond to emails, answer phone calls, and meet with students listed on the drop-in queue.
  • Process paperwork pertaining to admissions, apprenticeship, dual-credit, waivers, registration, and other Student Records related procedures using SMS.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable federal, state, and college policies and procedures.
  • Assist, as needed, with the review and evaluation of educational credentials for students enrolling at CBC and inform students of educational credential evaluation results.
  • Serve as a back-up switchboard operator.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent education from an institutionally accredited college or university.
  • Clerical/secretarial work experience in a professional setting.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, to create, edit, and format documents and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working in higher education.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.
