Job Summary

M&T Bank is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Relationship Banker to join our team in Annandale, VA. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, identifying sales opportunities, and growing our business through proactive outreach and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Sales: Provide top-notch customer service, identify sales opportunities, and present all relevant product and service options to customers.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, assess their financial needs, and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Proactive Outreach: Proactively reach out to customers via email or phone to follow up and educate them on value-added products and services.
  • Onboarding and Trust Building: Onboard new customers, establish trust with existing clients, and schedule appointments to discuss their financial needs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls, maintain registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act, and perform customer servicing interactions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 2 years proven retail sales, call center, customer service, and/or telesales experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to fluently communicate both verbally and in writing with bank customers in both English and Spanish.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with internet user-level technology and ability to use fax, telephone system, copier, and other communication tools.
