Medical Support Specialist

Alliance Health System is seeking an ambitious Medical Assistant to contribute to our team.
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for coordinating clinical and administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting the clinical and non-clinical staff. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology.
- Record patient vitals, test results, and other pertinent medical information while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Conduct post-procedure follow-up next day, ensuring patient satisfaction and quality care.
- Assist Healthcare Impact Team Manager with coordinating various administrative tasks, including scheduling and data entry.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examinations, assist with medical procedures, and provide patient care as needed.
- Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Coordinate with medical team to address patient questions or concerns, providing timely and effective communication.
- Partner with Healthcare Impact Team Manager to problem solve and carry out solutions in a timely manner, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
- Certification from a Medical Assistant program.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting.
- Degree preferred, not required.
- Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
