At Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. We are seeking a highly skilled MDS Nurse to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position offering competitive wages and an excellent benefits package. The ideal candidate will have experience in Long-Term Care with knowledge of MDS 3.0. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of federal and state assessment tools.
Job Responsibilities- The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of age-specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents, applying this knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
- Maintenance of comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of MDS rules and regulations is essential, including item coding, RAPS, care planning, electronic submission, and scheduling.
- The MDS Nurse will work collaboratively as an active member of the interdisciplinary and management team, exercising sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, skills, understanding, and past experience in nursing care situations.
- Compliance with the Code of Conduct and Compliance Program, Resident Abuse Reporting and Prevention Policies, and State and Federal Code requirements pertaining to long-term care nursing service is mandatory.
- A graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Nurse in the State is required.
- Previous work experience in a long-term care setting, preferably with supervisory experience and organizational skills, is preferred.
- The ideal candidate must be listed in good standing with the State Department of Professional Credentialing.
- Excellent technical assessment and documentation skills, leadership qualities, good communication skills, and the ability to remain patient and self-disciplined are essential.
- Knowledge of MDS rules and regulations, including item coding, RAPS, care planning, electronic submission, scheduling, and working knowledge of the relationship between PPS and MDS, is necessary.
