Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to join our team as a Pension and Health Fund Coordinator at the Equity-League Benefit Funds in New York, NY.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day operational oversight of administrative areas/departments for the Funds, ensuring high-quality services to all constituents. They will also maintain a thorough understanding of plan provisions and requirements for all Funds, serving as additional support with regard to plan benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational oversight of administrative areas/departments for the Funds.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of plan provisions and requirements for all Funds.
  • Support Director of Operations in handling day-to-day operations of the Funds.
  • Assist with ad-hoc meetings to keep abreast of operational matters.
  • Coordinate with Benefit Services Department on administration of plans' rules and provisions.
  • Assist with weekly administration of Health Plan's supplemental workers' compensation claims review.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in benefits administration/operations.
  • Four-year Bachelor's Degree required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Excellent judgment, work ethic, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with current technology, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
What We Offer

A competitive salary ranging between $85,000-$90,000 commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension benefit, voluntary pre-tax 401(k) option, employer-paid health insurance, dental, and vision insurance, and generous paid time off.
