About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing CAD Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing plumbing systems for various projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering work, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. They will also possess strong communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate with corporate managers, end users, and engineers from other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design: Prepare and maintain design drawings, diagrams, charts, plans, and permits under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Perform preliminary and final designs and/or prepare design criteria for assigned projects.
  • Coordination: Coordinate and provide technical information to clients by contacting personnel, including inter- and intra-departmental administrative and engineering personnel, government agencies, contractors, consultants, and the public.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize computerized software programs (AutoCAD & Revit) to prepare drawings and provide technical advice and guidance to assigned work or project.
  • Project Planning: Act on technical matters in the assigned field of expertise and recommend engineering solutions. Create an effective plan for developing the work product and prioritize tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of engineering work experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with corporate managers, end users, and engineers from other departments.
